What the hell is that all about??? All of a sudden, the surge is working...peace has come and the Iraqi people really want us to stay.

Jim Nickelson: previously head of the RNC (oh what a surprise!), appointed by Boosh in Jan. 2005.

The guy was a complete jerk, IMHO. Melissa Block did a decent job nailing him with the facts, but he danced around with the usual republic party spin.

Specifically, Block asked him why he didn't do something to work the backlog of veteran cases before the news broke about Walter Reed. He blames the backlog on their outreach program to get vets to come in for care. I yelled at my radio, "And it has nothing to do with the huge number of wounded returning from Iraq???!!!" What a load of crap.
