An Incredible Article about Hillary and the Problems for the netroots.
Matt has written an outstanding and amazing article on this. He has put in words everything we have been feeling or doubting about HRC>
It's a thoughtful and carefully written article.

1. Hillary is a symptom of a failed public financing mechanism.
The one in the room with the biggest wallet gets attention. Unfortunately, you can't pay attention if you're strapped down by a public financing mechanism that provides too little money to run a campaign against opponents who can outspend you using privately donated money.

6. I'm sorry but I don't have the luxury of being so negative
about any Dem - including Hillary. I have spent the past thirty two years (half of my life) experiencing only twelve years with a decent human being in the Presidency. Were it not for Bill Clinton modifying his natural liberal inclinations to become more of a moderate I would have had the sad personal experience of a Democrat in the White House for only four years.

I believe, in fact I know, that Senator Clinton is a decent human being, she is pragmatic, and she knows more than a little something about how government really works. Senator Clinton is, like her husband, very much a liberal but she wants to serve the citizens of the U.S. (including those people who hate her)which means she has to get elected. It is personally painful for me to watch the punishment she takes, much of it gender based, and then she gets up to take more hits.

How many of you have that sort of character and strength? Those who say she just wants power for power's sake are projecting their own personality onto her.

Many of the posts I see here on the DU I find absolutely disgusting - just a bunch of garden variety bullies who seem to have no grasp of how complex the issues really are. How many of the Hillary bashers have ever considered public service or any position that holds them up to public scrutiny or do they just pound away on their keyboards to show how strong and righteous they are?

Any Dem, including a DLC Dem, is way better than any Repug. I have not made my decision about my primary candidate but the anti-Hillary posts are pushing me to support her.

8. Hillary Clinton is of those group of pols who refuse hold the Neocons feet to the fire.

just as Bill Clinton turned his head from the Iran-Contra mess.

Do you realise that the tragedy we are witnessing today is directly related to the criminals Bill Clinton allowed to go without investigating?

This absolute willingness to allow criminals to get off with no repercussions has directly led to our slow slide towards facism.

Both Clintons are so busy playing politics that they don't see the disaster that their lack of moral compass unleashes daily.

I am far Left but appreciate those who project a moderate stance.

Both Clinton's aren't about simply projecting a moderate stance... they are about maintaing the status quo for a group of people who are killing our Democracy.

9. "absolute willingness" "don't see the disaster ..."
"people who are killing our Democracy". Good grief - what a mass of conclusions you have based on sand.

Evil and history seems to begin and end with the Clintons in your black and white world. How in the world have you been able to determine their personal motivations, particularly with such clarity? Do you make a lot of really difficult decisions?
