What's the Big Poll NBC to Reveal Tonight?
MSNBC has been announcing some new poll that Brian William's will reveal tonight on Nightly News. Usually, they just go ahead and spit it out all day long. So what's with the drama about this one? Of course, they want people to tune in Brian (probably ratings dropping or something--these nightly news casts are such anemic crap pushed as news). But still, I wonder why they aren't dragging it out on all their talking head shows today. Anybody have any info or rumors about it?? If it's "McCain surges ahead" or "Race Neck and Neck", I'm going to barf---how many times do Amurekans need to get hit over the head (well, I guess first they have to get that head out of their ass)!

2. You must remember this--a poll is but a poll.

They provides only snapshots and trends, not big pictures and prophecies. I thought if we'd learned anything at all from the primary season, we'd learned that.

I thought I'd be able to bury this along with GD/P, but I guess not:

GET THEE BEYOND ME, POLL!
UNCLEAN! UNCLEAN!!!!

3. I realize it's a "presidential" poll
Unlikely it's a poll to find out what cat's like to eat! But, it's being hyped like it's going to make people go "WOW". At this point it's bullshit...you know it and I do...but what the "value" of these polls are is that the average American moron sucks it up and thinks it's "dude the way things are going". Therefore, IMPORTANT for it's propaganda value. I was trying to find out just who is going to get the big propaganda roll out tonight. That's why I asked if anyone knew anything about it.

5. It's probaby some stupid thing they're marching out in the absence of real news
It'll be "People think the economy sucks" or something similar. It's way too early for them to start floating BS polls.

15. Giving just a few details on MSNBC now.
Poll findings:

59% of voters believe the next president should focus on moving the country forward

37% of voters believe the next president should focus on protecting what has made America great

I missed part of this story while channel-surfing and watching flood news, so I don't know what else was in the "sneak peek."

17. They may as well have just asked, "Who will you vote for-Obama or McCain?"
Edited on Wed Jun-11-08 12:56 PM by jenmito
They're obviously loaded questions-one representing Obama and the other representing McCain in most people's minds. This is great news for Obama. Even though the things that "made America great" are things that OBAMA wants to protect-like Habeus Corpus, our standing in the world re: torture, etc.
