Yet another wingnuts stupid statement

We are in Iowa, which as most of you know, has been hit hard by flooding along with Wisconsin and parts of Illinois. Anyway, the city of Mason City, IA is without fresh water and Iowa City along with others are possibly facing the same thing, not to mention enormous property damage. And I mentioned that these people who are affected by all this flooding should be eligible for FEMA funding. Well, this wing nut at work said that they should get international aid "like the people in Myanmar got after the typhoons. Why can't they help out Americans?". Now I have to tell you, I was flabbergasted by that goofy statement. I tried to explain that around 22,000 people died in Myanmar, where so far, no one has died because of this latest round of flooding. And a lot of the flood victims probably have some type of insurance. And there is no doubt that America is a far wealthier country than Myanmar. Well, this guy just didn't want to listen to logic and he finally walked away from me muttering something about "damn liberals" under his breath. But he wouldn't debate me. Very few of them will. Logic confuses them.

when I said that the Repukes couldn't meet the high standards that they set for Dems to have to live up to, the nut said that the standards must be pretty low for Dems to achieve them ...

So, the repukes couldn't even meet the LOW standards???
