Obama Looks Strong in Latest Polls (Holding a Big Lead Since Securing the Nomination)

He's holding a Strong 287 Electoral Vote position, even after new polls from last week (no change in position since he secured the nomination).

http://www.electoral-vote.com/

Both Gallup and Rasmussen reporting Obama holding the lead from his Nomination Bounce:

Gallup:
O: 48 / Mc: 41

Rasmussen:
O: 50 / Mc: 43 (including leaners)
O: 48 / Mc: 40 (likely voters)

These are between 7 and 10 point swings from before he secured the nomination last week.

1. Is there one of these that we can change them from red to blue?
An interactive site, or something?

Well maybe not quite that fun.

14. Probably just an outlier.
This map hasn't been updated in the last few days--chances are that the next good polling data we see on Michigan will put it back in our column.

still a long ways to go and poll are easily manipulated by the questions or people running the polls to get the effect they want.

The polls are meaningless, right now especially...How about watching polls in say mid September and October....They'll still be manipulated then, as is EVERYTHING in this country...including the vote!

7. Are Indiana and Virginia absolute dead heats?
I don't know what "all white" means in the color code for this map.

16. All white = exactly tied, or as you put it a "dead heat."

15. I wonder when they'll start adding Bob Barr to the polls
That should knock down McCain's vote totals by a few points.

The Democrats own the majority in this State. Unfortunately, there is still a strong racist section of our party some would rather not own up to.
