What happens to the property of the deported?
The vehicles, clothes, televisions, etc? Maybe even real property (if they were relatively well off). Maybe even businesses.

Just wondering, worrying about a neighbor i haven't seen in a few days.

1. I'm sure you've heard of
neighborhood watch. Well something like that often happens. Neighborhood snatch.

2. pdf page about that
http://www.xn--thringen-75a.de/imperia/md/content/tsk/ab/englisch_www.pdf

Basically it says:
Your property.
Your personal property that you brought with you to the prison will be stored until you are deported or released.

5. Ask the person if they have designated individuals to take care of theirchildren or make decisions about their personal property. If not, ask them for the names, address and DOB for individuals who can do that. Askthem to include individuals with lawful status. The detained person can give legalpower to someone they trust to make important decisions on their behalf while theyare detained. This is called a “power of attorney” and varies from state to state. (SeeAppendix D, Sample power of attorney for detained individuals in Iowa and Nebraska.)

We belong to a BIG TENT party, and some of us think that illegal immigration is actually illegal .

5. Civil forfeiture laws suck.
But I can't think of a good reason that it should apply to assets gained through one kind of illegal activity and not another.
