"I cried all day Saturday"
Saw this on Hillary's Official Website blog... and I thought it was just perfect. Made me feel much better about the whole idea of a united party... here it is:

http://blog.hillaryclinton.com/blog/main/2008/06/08/013052#view_comments

Finally had a moment to breathe and think...

This is my first post... I tend to be a quiet observer but not now when so much is at stake. So I know this seems to be a 'wall of text' (lol). I have so much to say now that I have decided to "open my mouth" hopefully I don't end up with my foot in it... ;) Ok... here goes...

I cried all day Saturday. The one person I thought that could break down the "corporate machine", the "Money Machine", the "Republican Agenda" was Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton. I will tell you this... She is an Iconic American that deserves EVERYONES respect. She is one of my heroes. Even my republican friends were like... "Dang, shes scrappy - I'll consider voting for her". I have and will always stick by her. Since Tuesday I have been "stewing" in my own juices wondering where we went wrong, how did we lose, how on earth could Barack win... Its not that they were "better" by any means. So what happened? I still cannot answer that question. But I know the bitterness and resentment set in. I became EXTREMELY angry at the Barack Obama Camp. I thought... well... they beat us... but "they ain't getting my vote". I thought "Heck, I'll just write Hillary into the ballot" that will teach them a lesson. I will protest this election.

Then... the emotions lessened.... the anger lessened...

And I realized that if I didn't transition to the Obama Camp I would lose SO much more than just Hillary. I would lose more things under another republican regime. Under Bush we have lost our children, our respect in the world, our identity... our pride. :(

So... I went to the Barack Obama website. The things they said about Hillary were so hurtful and I was infuriated and started blogging my heart out. How could they say those things about 'MY' candidate? How dare they. Then I came back here and realized we did the same thing.

We all were so wrapped up in the moment it was outright war. Obama vs Hills and it got ugly. They have said some nasty things, even Obama has said nasty things... I/We have also and Hillary has gotten her digs into too.

So now that we have had this "family feud" how do we heal?

I have been over there trying to stop the Anti-Hillary and Anti-Hillary Supporter Sentiment and FOR THE MOST PART it has been met with agreement, open arms and a sense of family.

I will NOT cast this site away. I have read so many profiles, blogs, thoughts, rants, raves, laughs, upsets that you all are my family. Again... I should have been more vocal... and I apologize for that. You can beat me later. LOL

McCain has already started swooning the HRC camp votes... It is amazing how they have broken this down into statistics and "the quickest road to the White House" they don't care about OUR agenda... they only care about winning. See this...

http://www.johnmccain.com/strategybriefing/

I was appalled... I hope you are too. They are pitting us against one another and from what they said the DNC and HRC Camps are ripe for the picking... Please hear my outrage and fight against this....

I am pleading with ALL HRC Supporters. I hurt too but we need to come together... not Only for Hillary, not only for the Democratic Party, Not only for HRC Independants... but together for Hillary. We are more powerful as one and by joining the Obama Camp our voices will shatter ALL of the ceilings, shatter all of the walls and shatter the status quo that has been built against us these past 8 years. I miss Bill as my president. I think Hillary would have whipped his butt and showed him out to lead effectively. She is no longer in teh race and we need to choose the best canditate that represents Hillary's Agenda and that is Barack Obama. Please some with me over there.

My handle is "Hillary Transitioner" yeah they got a kick out of that one over there.. LOL I am from Tampa, FL and my real name is Scott.

I share this with you because I know we can do this together. We pushed Hillary Up and now we can join forces to ensure her agenda is represented. I need you there by my side beside all in the Obama Camp. I know we can do this.

Yes we will!!!

Thanks for hearing me out.

1. I feel sad that someone could be so passionate, and so wrong at the same time
"The one person I thought that could break down the "corporate machine", the "Money Machine", the "Republican Agenda" was Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton."

3. How does someone come to believe that?
People are lazy.

They prefer to have the MSM and campaign PR tell them what to think.

Thats the only excuse I can think of.

10. You do understand that this person is asking their fellow Hillary supporters to support Obama?
Or are you just enjoying the fact that people are hurting right now?

15. Thank you for your outstanding perspective. I agree. It is time to put the squabbles aside.
Often the barometer of a persons character is not their conduct when they lose, but their conduct when they win.

8. Well, to be fair, her campaign team certainly was
She herself followed the DLC fundraising pattern, searching out big corporate donors instead of doing the grunt work of getting a lot of us nobodies to cough up whatever we could. In the end, it tied her to some people we mostly want out of power while it limited her funding.

I have no idea what it takes to invest one's personality in a public figure of any type to the point of hysteria.

I just hope this is the last good candidate the DLC gets to ruin.

4. Ditto that. Lets get beyond our personnel pain and get to breaking down that
"corporate machine", the "Money Machine", the "Republican Agenda". We don't need any more DLC or Blue Dogs. WE need liberals and populist progressives to stand up and demand to be counted.

5. That sentence stood out for me as well
It makes me think that a lot of people had pinned hopes and dreams on Hillary that she herself didn't actually embody.

9. Let's welcome him and all the rest of HRC's supporters with open arms. Obama needs all of us....
God knows very few of "my" candidates have ever made it past the primaries in the past 40 years. But I never have -- and never will -- let a Republican win if I can help it. I never have -- and I never will -- sit an election out just so I can pout. I am a Democrat, and once the GE arrives I vote for the candidate with the (D) after their name.

So help these folks heal by showing how to be gracious in victory, because the most crucial contest of all is yet to come.

12. We all remember the last two elections and I think we all can understand your emotions....
Thank you for expressing your feelings and thought process so well and realizing the consequences of another 4 years of republican rule.

WE are all in this together.... I was an Edward's supporter... I could have easily been a Hillery supporter and would have had she won the nomination but, now I will support Obama.

I hope that Edward's becomes the Attorney General and Hillary heads the most important transition in U.S. history, the changing of our broken healthcare system to a model Universal system.

That is my hope....:-)

13. I Appreciate Your Post
but you might have found a better post to reference.
The original writer is way too involved, emotionally,
and I think that's what up tread posts see as the main flaw.

Even her more "ardent" supporters, if they really are Democrats,
will see things differently come November.

17. just keep an eye on him - my wife was as staunch a Hillary supporter as any...
...couldn't stand Obama, heckled him every time he was on tv. last night before she went to bed she rolled over and said 'I'm ready' and I was like... 'for what' and she tells me 'I am ready to vote for Obama, I am ok with it and I think he will be a good president' after I heard that, I knew just about anybody could come around given their 'own' time... good luck!

20. Sorry, but something about this seems bogus. Just my intuition
but it sounds like an Obama supporter who wrote this. and he's my candidate. Just seems like it has all the
right talking points. Just my 2 cents worth of impression.
