Why aren't more Democrats playing politics with the gas issue?
Tweety just made the point that if Dems were in control while the gas prices were skyrocketing and the economy was tanking, the republicans would shout from every rooftop that it was the Democrats fault.

Why aren't Democrats with media access making that point, or is it a bad idea? The way I see it is, politics, unfortunately, is a game and we need to do everything it takes to get the majority of EVERYTHING this year.

1. I don't think they really know how to fix it
Republicans don't either but that would never shut them up. But Dems are a little more conscientious (or wimpy). If they aren't sure they wouldn't advance an opinion.

3. True, and that's what I love most about fellow dems BUT
we really need to start fighting fire with fire. I don't think we're going to win on intelligent discussion alone.

2. Possibly because Democrats have held the Lege since Jan 2007
And it is difficult to run against perceived failure of the incumbents when you are an incumbent.

Obama, on the other hand, is free to use it to his advantage.

5. The Democratic majority has been paper thin (counting LIEbermaniac) The DEmocratic Party should be
shouting about how the Do Nothing REpigLICKERS have mounted more filibusters than any other congress in history to prevent the Democratic party from helping the people.

4. The Dems don't engage the media on a lot of things they should, IMO
And it's been going on for years.
