I predicted then that Obama would be running for President in 2016...I thought Kerry would win 8 years followed by an Edwards 8 years

3. Both convention sites were selected long before the nominees were

known. They have to be able to have the site nailed down and the places large enough to host them are booked a couple of years out. So the site selections for 2012 will probably be made no later than 2010.

colleges, state fair start late because RNC wants no traffic jams.
