1. We have one thing going for us.

I can't imagine any station, even Fox News, playing an overtly racist ad. Anywhere in the country. If they want to be racists, they'll have to do it on websites, and in op-eds in the paper.

The Republicans will try to damage Obama to keep Democratic voters home. We need to damage McCain to keep Republican voters home. I would prefer 100% voter participation, but if some of those voters vote on race, they probably need to stay home and watch TV.

4. That's why they'll be playing lots of latently racist ads and programs.
And a lot of Reverend Wright. Let's hope that it backfires on them.

And we should try to convince social conservatives that McCain just isn't really with them, so they should stay home.

5. I think most stations in the country will block even the sneaky stuff.

I have no idea how Wright and the other preachers can have such a deep affect on people's votes. These people are sheep.

McCain and the fake advocacy groups will try to attack Obama every way they can. Obama needs to release something telling people what his ideas for the economy are. What his ideas for Iraq are. And he needs to do it, nationally, before McCain can set the table.

2. We already know how deep they run.
We're going to find out how well we've weeded the political garden in recent years.

3. "There's nothing wrong with America than can't be cured by what is right
with America." ~ Bill Clinton

I'm hoping this will apply to this coming election.

6. The tendrils are far deeper than I thought
and some surprising other ugliness came out during this little game of ours.

The polite fiction of America as being some sort of enlightened nation is rapidly crumbling, and I have to wonder what really lies underneath that gold paint.

7. Racism is like weeds, you can never stop pulling them up, roots
and all.
