5. Had a look at this...
while I'm not that well-informed about the candidates, it does look a bit like the latest example of what seems to be the First Law of Republican Politics: "However right-wing you are, you can still lose the primary to someone even further right!" Is that really such good news? - Or is the point that a Democrat is now far more likely to win that seat?

8. yeah, but the Dem who won for the House seat is no progressive
and couldn't debate his way out of a paper bag. but he had personal deep pockets (he loaned his campaign over a million of his own $$) so we won't have a decent candidate

Pearce is toast, Udall will mop the floor with him

10. I hope that COW finds her lobbying job
for some defense company and never comes back here. She sure forgot about all of us as soon as she got off the plane in DC every two years.

The only reason that cow kept getting elected was the dog and pony show she kept running with Domenici over pumping up hysteria that the air bases here would be closed. It happened every two years, just like clockwork and scared the bejabbers out of military retirees dependent on the base PX.

I just can't believe the stupidity of state conservatives in selecting that waste of skin, Pearce, a man who would be Alfred E. Neuman's double if he had a little more hair and is certainly his intellectual equivalent. I guess the stupid want to be represented by somebody just like them.

I just can't believe he'll give Udall any sort of a fight. Udall has been a great Rep. and would make a great Senator. Pearce would be a seat warmer who would vote the way the party power brokers tell him to.

11. This is also a slap in the face for Sen. Pistol Pete Domenici (R) - who endorsed Heatherrrr
Edited on Wed Jun-04-08 08:22 AM by SpiralHawk
Domenici is a tool of the military-industrial-oil-republicon complex, and has been the godfather to junior republicon tool Heather.

People have seen through the BS of republicon propaganda.

Finally.

12. It sure is, and couldn't have happened to a more
appropriate guy. He's been a sleazy character for so long that sleaze almost got the reputation of being respectable.

Having to plead senility in an attempt to duck prosecution over Attorneygate was just the icing on the cake.

I always thought he'd only go out of office feet first on a coroner's gurney. I'm delighted I was wrong.

15. I would go insane if this country got stuck with her for 6 years. Also, Tom Udall is way a head
this is going to be a good year for the democrats.

be beaten for that?
