I was curious about Pat's new book because of the title. I'm going to listen to his argument.

3. Hartmann is making a mistake when he does things like this.

While otherwise 'OK,' Hartmann is making a mistake by routinely giving whack jobs his air time to promote their crackpot notions. I suppose he thinks there is some value in doing this, but there really isn't any at all. I always turn off his program for the rest of the day as soon as one of these comes on.

In this case (and many others,) it's just his lazy producer finding someone promoting a book or something. Since it's really just an ad, I wonder if Hartmann gets paid for airing the guest's "infomercial."

Unca Pat was spewing his Nazi racist crap and Thom just let him get away with it. Anyone saying that European culture is in danger of dying out is racist on two levels: 1) There is no such thing as "European Culture". My Sicilian ancestors had more in common with Moroccans than they did with Norwegians or English. "European Culture" is simply code for "white people". 2) There's no reason to assume that so-called "European Culture" will die out when adopted by non-Europeans, any more than Greek culture died when adopted by Romans or Roman culture died when adopted by northern Europeans. What he's really saying is that non-whites aren't capable of maintaining the knowledge and history of white culture.

And, of course, Pat just comes out and says that European (white) culture is superior to non-white culture. Why the hell does Hartmann even bother with such a hatemonger?

I have it set for auto-record, and I'll got through it later this evening.

I've become almost addicted to Thom, especially his Friday interviews with Bernie Sanders. Frankly, I really ENJOY his non-aggressive style with far right people. He doesn't have to "put them in their place" to prevail. And I usually learn much from the two-way dialog, when both sides aren't screeching at each other. Last week, I heard for the SECOND time, his interview with David Horowitz. Horowitz was "starting to lose it" that time, but it was still a worthwhile listen. And it ended on a civil note.

I say to Thom: "Keep it up! I like your style!"
