If tomorrow a minimum wage type person starts at a fast-food restaurant-even at $8.00 per hour, and they work 52 weeks per year and 40 hours per week, they will earn $16,640 dollars per year.
When they hear of politician's being involved with graft that benifits a friend to some multiple of a million dollars, I wonder if they run that figure out to the truth? That in mere gross cash they will work 60.096153 YEARS to match that largesse in EACH MILLION???
If you consider a single five million profit to a friend-which is small shit-what does it really cost? The answer is really 300 years plus. Down here at cheapside you are talking about more than the combined income of the family line to the great, great, great, grandchild...
...Really there must be accountability for millions.If you recieve them, then you should have to explain why....

I'd say that in every case, not just those of the benefactors of government largesse, one should make an accounting.

Expand the IRS oversight to every government contract... in fact make it mandatory, and we'll see a lot less bullshit.
