TX repuke Pete Sessions to **8th graders**: "everybody hates George Bush"
:wow: :wow:

http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/politics/local/stories/DN-texwatch_25nat.ART.State.Edition1.46ce432.html

Even Texas Republicans such as Dallas Rep. Pete Sessions are distancing themselves from President Bush.

The president, Mr. Sessions told a group of eighth-graders visiting the Capitol last week from Akiba Academy in Dallas, "is doing everything he thinks is correct," and yet "the American people are fed up.... we've lost the House and Senate, and everybody hates George Bush."

The problem, Mr. Sessions said, is that the president hasn't reached out enough, on a host of issues.

"When I was the quarterback of the team," Mr. Sessions said, "if I came and told everybody, 'I don't care whether you like it or not, I'm going to do what I want to do,' my guys wouldn't block for me."

He is just smart enough to see the dream is over..The GOP Dream is not the American Dream by a very long shot.

they knew as Chris Shays said that George and Dick were having their own excellent adventure outside the rule of law, the Constitution and every established tradition, GOP congress critters WENT along with and gave them a free pass. Now that the American people are angry, now they want to blame the mysterious somebody for not intervening in this mess, it was his job, he fumbled.

13. I hope this will all be addressed
Edited on Mon May-26-08 09:59 AM by MissWaverly
we really need to establish boundaries of the 3 branches or America will lose it's ability to govern itself. Bill Moyers was talking about an "ill executed" government. I think it was quoted that the federal government used 60 million dollars under a mandate established by Bill Clinton to investigate possibly toxic chemicals in US. They have not yet tested 1 chemical despite spending all that money.

16. yes, and 1 step at a time
we are not going to have a magic wand to undo 30 years of trickle down economics, cowboy
diplomacy and privatization of government services by heckuva job toadies that do not serve
the public but we can make a start.

15. unfortunately Sessions had to have his lips surgically removed from Bush's ass to say that
he's one of the worst, too. Just trying to save his own ass in office.

17. This asshole didn't "distance" himself at all
He didn't say Bush was a murdering thief -- he merely said that he wasn't inclusive enough in getting people to sign on to his murdering and thievery. He didn't distance himself at all.

18. Of course while he says that he hates George Bush he will keep voting for the Bush agenda...
Edited on Mon May-26-08 10:39 AM by MN Against Bush
And then when it comes time to get reelected on that agenda that he continually voted for and supported he will say "see I am not George Bush I even said I hated him." Saying he hates Bush is not good enough, he needs to stand up and say that he was wrong on every vote that he cast in favor of the Bush agenda.

If he is not unwilling to denounce all his previous votes in favor of Bush, then he is essentially arguing that everyone should hate him as well because he is a Bush clone.

20. Swaying with the wind oppurtunist, nothing to be excited about.
The problem is no that the president hasn't reached out enough, the problem is that he is criminal.

22. Not necessarily "excited"
But to see how far this state has come in the last 8 years...never would have thought we would ever hear the words "everyone hates George Bush" from a TX repuke. Never mind to a group **of kids**..and here it has been a few days and there are no other TX repukes calling for Session to be flogged or ostracized. Nothing. Not a word.
TX repukes know they are screwed come Nov 2008 and they all have chimp to thank for that!

24. Bush has never been a quarterback, but a pom-pom wielding cheerleader
threatening to go home with the ball if the team doesn't like his cheers.

Chimpy is the one all in white, in the wig and dress in the middle.
