I live about a mile from the post. I took them $50 this morning.

Post 2280 has been running since 1946 and has more than 1,400 active members. They operate out of a 120,000-square-foot building with operating costs of more than $10,000 a month, but not much money is coming in, members said.
Members pay one lifetime fee and everything else is based on donations.
The post commander, Chuck Ketchum, said the bank they are working with has bent over backward, but there is nothing else the bank can do.
Ketchum said that if the post does get foreclosed on, members will not give up.
"We will persevere. We may lose the building, but the members of our post will not lose our hearts, will not lose our determination to keep going," Ketchum said.
Members will be out this weekend asking for donations. On Friday and Saturday, they'll be at the Great Western Bank on Harvell and Galvin roads in Bellevue. From Friday through Sunday, members will be at the No Frills Supermarket on Highway 370.
