From this morning's paper (Melbourne Age)

Michelle Grattan, Canberra
May 23, 2008

MELBOURNE City Council has rejected a controversial painting by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd's nephew that depicts the clown Ronald McDonald carrying the Olympic torch past a burning monk.

I'm not into hero worship, especially of politicians, but by golly, I'm liking this Rudd mob more and more each day.

amongst the city council.

4. In past years
that is John Howard's rule, I doubt if this would have made the papers. Now I can't see it doing any damage to the Prime Minister or his standing. There seems to be a wave of leftism/humanitarianism sweeping the country now that fucking Howard is gone, and with him the blind following of Bush.

Keep you heads up folks, it will soon be over for you too and we can get back to a more compassionate, rational world.
