Those oil guys are full of shite...
Edited on Thu May-22-08 02:07 PM by Texas Explorer
They insist there's no supply issue while whining that they need more access.

They yammer when asked to explain their profits in the face of the cost of fuel. They're asked "So, if you're making $40 Billion why not instead make $20 Billion and give the public a break?"

They've made enormous profits and admit that they've invested only a combined $1.5 Billion or so in alternatives and renewables.

They're full of shite.

Edited to add: One of those big heads just now said "We do have the interest of the people in mind and we're doing everything we can to increase production in order to build supply." Well, phock!
That's as good an admission than any I could get that we have indeed reached the point in time where keeping up with demand and supply has become a challenge.

Which can only mean one thing. The prices will get worse.

1. If congress had any courage at all (which they don't)
perjury prosecutions would probably be in order.

2. Of course they are
They're taking us for a ride, and people are making excuses for them.

So what if oil production is peaking? Tell these f***s to get the hell out of the way of true renewable energy(Not ethanol!)!

4. Nationalize the Oil Companies,
Drag Bush and Cheney out of the white house in chains and put them in Jail. Put the leadership of the Republican party in Gitmo, Heads of all the Radio and Television Companies on chain gangs. That is it for now. What do you think.

7. Germany went the route of blaming minorities as scapegoats for their troubles.
I think he is talking about going after the real corporate crooks before they get us hopelessly into a last man standing scenario.

If we aren't already too late.

9. That sounds good, but it's illegal
Drag Bush and Cheney out of the white house in chains and put them in Jail

To be legal, we must first Impeach them. Then we must try and convict them of treason. After that comes the blindfold, the cigarette and the brick wall.

8. What needs to be done
Is for congress to start regulating the way oil is bought and sold on the commodities market. If it was up to me, I would take all energy and food sources out of trading period, but at the very least they can regulate them better so hedge funds, greedy investors, and speculators can't jack up prices to they can make a killing on the market trends!

We need to also find out which members of congress are in the pockets of big oil, and get rid of them no matter what party they are in! Changes can be made, we just need someone with the guts to start the process!
