I am one of the lucky people who live 5 miles away from work, so I'm considering buying a bike , and keeping the car for odd errands.

Luckily I can use the campus gym to shower before showing up at the office, it would be embarrassing to stink.

4. Yeah, here in burbs of Chicago it's more like $4.09 a gallon.
In the gas station across the street from my building unleaded is going for 4.19 though. Needless to say, I don't fill up their very often.

14. I was watching a guy change prices on a sign yesterday in San Rafael.
And right next to him was a guy on the sidewalk who was holding a sign that read "Need Money for Gas".

16. Fate of Bush* and his cronies --- The 40 Thieves?
Edited on Thu May-22-08 02:44 PM by shain from kane
"The lead thief pretends to be an oil merchant in need of Ali Baba's hospitality, bringing with him mules loaded with thirty-eight oil jars, one filled with oil, the other thirty-seven with the other thieves (the two missing members were the scouts previously sent to find the house, who were killed for their failure). Once Ali Baba is asleep, the thieves plan to kill him. Again, Morgiana discovers and foils the plan, killing the thirty-seven thieves in their oil jars by pouring boiling oil on them. When their leader comes to rouse his men, he discovers that they are dead, and escapes."

Something tells me this is going to be a major topic of discussion here for months to come. That old Chinese curse about living in interesting times is hitting us hard.
