3. Sweeeeeet!
It's the start of the process. It will be tricky to manage this so Rove doesn't just get a pardon and get off scott free.

Edited on Thu May-22-08 01:41 PM by CottonBear
I'm just wondering how he's going to try and weasel out of testifying (truthfully.) Maybe he'll show up and then take the 5th. Can the Congress arrest him and hold him in the congressional jail so he'll have to appear? Enquiring minds want to know!

10. Rove laughs at House Judiciary (again)....
The *only* way they're going to get *any* of these douchebags in front of them is by charging them with Inherent Contempt and having the House Sargent of Arms drag them in in cuffs....

15. It may actually be fairly simple.
Edited on Thu May-22-08 01:46 PM by Jackpine Radical
You can't use exec priv for criminal matters, which at least the Siegelman case would be. Even if the DOJ won't serve the papers, Congress has their own powers of arrest. Seems like it could be a slam-dunk if they want it to be.

Have the sergeant at arms ready to go arrest the illegitimate son if he doesn't show up! Take the Mace and bash him on the head if he tries to get away!
