IT'S THE WAR, IT'S THE WAR, IT'S THE WAR, IT'S THIS STUPID FUCKING WAR!!

$12-15 a Gallon Gas is coming: http://www.businessandmedia.org/printer/2008/20080521145247.aspx

why - because of the Bush war in Iraq - look at this graph, every time there is a war or violent situation involving the Middle East or other oil producing region, there is a spike in the price of oil. If oil prices are a way of reading the degree of 'war' spike... then we are FUCKED. The Bush Iraq war is causing a spike like we have never seen, why? BECAUSE IT IS A MAJOR FUCKING DEAL!!! Maybe, finally, when United States citizens start paying $12-15 a Gallon for gas, we will do something about it... and all I can say is, we deserve it for not doing everything in our power to stop Bushes war when we had a chance.

1. The war is the thing. Period.
And why most Dems have slacked off bringing it up as an issue is beyond me.

Everything will be about the war until we are fucking OUT OF THERE.

Bring 'em home and let's get our lives back together.

Pots and Pans!

4. Great post. Rec'd because the war has always been the real issue
Besides the fact that it is immoral, illegal, and has caused countless deaths and tragedies, ot has also, as you clearly point out, caused our economy to go in the toilet. END THIS WAR!!

5. Iraq pay us in oil?
Here's a clever thought, since we basically "own" Iraq since we certainly "broke" it, why not have them start pumping more oil? Why go hat in hand to the Saudis? And the oil companies say the prices are high cause we don't allow drilling in Anwar, but where is the oil they currently drill up there going? Are we Americans giving ourselves a break on our own domestic oil? Or are we selling it on the open market to the highest bidder?

6. I have been saying this forever.
The whole purpose of the war was to drive up oil prices. The entire last 7 years has all been carefully orchestrated to do so.

11. I think that was part of it
But it also served to win an election, take more freedoms away, and to generally loot our treasury. They broke Iraq so they could force us all to incur massive debt so we could pay them to "fix it".

More money in "fixing" an entire country than there is oil in the world.

"Can't fix the bridge, gotta fund the war.
Can't pay for health care, gotta fund the war.
Can't get a job, gotta fund the war.
Own an oil company? Here's your billions ..."

9. It is not "the war", it is Republican Rule and a very flawed Foreign Policy
It is a combination of everything Republican, that is driving down the value of our dollar. It is their record deficits and Debt, their arrogance and belligerence, their policy on Torture and eliminating Habeas Corpus, their total corruption and last but not least their constant LIES. The world does not want to deal with a constant LIAR..

13. I hope those who are so blinded in their own stubborness
will not vote for another liar (mc insane) cause their choice of Dem Candidate was not chosen, cause that will be willful ignorance on their part.

15. I am fairly certain no "real" Democrat will vote Republican
People that think our Primary is/was contentious don't understand how Republicans operate. Democrats are extremely tame when it comes to nasty politics...It just is not in their nature. Democrats will Unite behind the Democratic candidate and America will experience change for the better..

"cheap" gas. :eyes: Oh and we tried to stop bu$h's war and we were marginalized by his puppy dog media and called a "fringe" group. Don't blame us all.

21. Do you think having the US dollar buy 65% less than it did (compared to the Euro) has
anybearing? Oil at $135 a barrel would be only $47.25, if the US dollar was still being exchanged almost one for one, as it was in early 2001. (1 Euro= .9205 US on 2/1/01).
