Thank you everyone - for the well wishes!
30 hour hospital stay and I'm home again. Surgery went well. I can remember when you stayed much longer for a hysterectomy. So here's to the advances in medicine and the well wishes of good people!

(and the happy pills didn't hurt either)

8. It is! I started begging to come home as soon as I woke up in the recovery room
and then after the blood catheter fiasco after I was in my room (nurse was starting a new IV line), I was determined to get discharged as quickly as possible. Blood everywhere - puddled on the bed and the floor. Needless to say I didn't get that last IV (fluids).

They were only going to keep me 2 days anyway and then only if they had to make a bigger incision, but they didn't have to...so

13. Glad you are home, but pace yourself!
It's still a pretty major surgery! Do you have some adult supervision ;) or at least a dependable go-for?

Speedy recovery to one great DUer!

Take it easy and don't lift anything. It will take you some time to heal, and you will heal faster if you don't push it too soon.

37. Thanks, G_j!
I got lucky on the procedure. Europe is BIG on lap. surgery and would rather not cut more than is needed....and US doctors who work here follow along with that thinking. Course, it helped that once they looked around, I had little scar tissue.

Also, was very fortunate to have the insurance to cover the more expensive surgery. I'm grateful is what I'm getting at...

now if the final biopsy comes back clean...I'll know in 6 days
