ENTERPRISE, Ala. - On a mournful mission, President Bush climbed over piles of concrete, roofing, insulation, broken glass and textbooks Saturday that littered Enterprise High School, battered by a tornado that killed eight students.

6. The little Bush trolls (students) who spoke to media were pre-screened

No URL, but I heard an astonishing interview with a student who made a special point of praising the p_Resident for taking the time to visit the the area, to show how much he 'cared' (*puke*). Yes, it was a GOP-safe area, unlike New Orleans, where Bush was MIA.

Anyway, I heard on MSNBC (live) that the students who were allowed to return to the school were interviewed (pre-screened), in advance. That tidbit emerged when the anchor was asked whether or not a psychological tool would be taken on the students for returning to the scene of devastation.

12. It's odd, but neither of the girls in the photo has what I would call an

'appropriate' expression on her face. The one on the left looks like she doesn't want to be touched, and the one on the right looks like she's smiling/laughing. Very weird. Am I the only one who thinks this?

Of course, it could all be because they are awed by the cameras, the prez, etc.

17. Does it ever occur to him that he could still redeem himself if he would only

commit himself to truly saving the suffering, and seeing that commitment through? And by ending the war and the loathsome treatment of its veterans, and by working for real justice and real peace? I know, I know it is hard for us to imagine forgiving him for all the death and calamity he has caused and ignored. But I wonder if it ever enters his mind how much healing and salvation is within his power, that he could go down as a better man, that he could make up to us for some of the tragedy he has caused, just by becoming the kind of president we really need right now. Does he have any idea what it is, what it takes to be truly beloved and honored, rather than just feared and resented? Or that he is beyond redemption only because he chooses to be?
