Should there be a national holiday when Bush-Cheney leave office?
If so, what month and day should it be celebrated? Maybe somewhere between Veterans Day and Thanksgiving? Or perhaps on Old Christmas, January 6th? Or maybe the next day after they have actually departed the premises, January 21st? Can you think of a better month and day to celebrate??

1. How about we just put it with 4th of July
So that we can celebrate we gained out independence from the British and we can celebrate the day we gained independence from Bush/Cheney.

3. whether we turn it into a recurring holiday, everyone should celebrate and make
a point of celebrating. bars, restaurants, etc., should have farewell parties, scrubbing parties, fresh start parties, or whatever.

i also think people should honk their horns loudly and start yelling and screaming and celebrating as soon as the new president takes office. heighten the effect.

and, of course, the second week in january, we should all start sending cleaning supplies to the white house.

Cripes, the first year it should be celebrated monthly and then we could decide which month.

7. The entire month of January..
And in February, start the war-crimes trials. Investigate the 2000 coup, and declare the entire chimp pResidency** null and void. Remove all his appointments, including the fascists he put on the U.S. Supreme W. Court.

In March, after the war-crimes trials are completed, a bunch of sloppy, Saddam style hangings for the chimp and his thugs, complete with grim cell phone videos on You Tube.

18. I'll be popping champagne corks and getting drunk the moment the new Prez is sworn in
and the festivities in my house might go on for days. It will be like Christmas, New Year's, and the Fourth of July rolled into one. A Chimpless America will be like a rebirth. We need to come up with a name for the national holiday, like "Chimpless America Day".

19. November the Fifth
I think America should have it's own day celebrating the downfall of a traitor who tried to destroy the very fabric of the country.

Some effigies burning in the streets would make a nice touch, too.

20. I get the day off for inaugeration day
But then, I work in DC for a non-profit. I will celebrate appropriately. I remember almost crying when Bill's plane took off when *co took over. I knew it would be bad, but I didn't know how bad. I don't think I'll feel that sense of loss this time. And I don't think I would have felt it if the true elected President Al Gore was being sworn in.

It is as simple as that.

Thus, no national holiday is warranted.

Otherwise, it's
