TEHRAN - The Intelligence Ministry on Saturday released details of the detection and dismantling of a terrorist network affiliated to the United States.

In a coordinated operation on May 7, Iranian intelligence agents arrested the terrorist network’s members, who were identified in Fars, Khuzestan, Gilan, West Azerbaijan, and Tehran provinces, the Intelligence Ministry announcement said.

The group’s plans were devised in the U.S., according to the announcement, which added that they had planned to carry out a number of acts such as bombing scientific, educational, and religious centers, shooting people, and making public places in various cities insecure.

One of the terrorists was killed in the operation, but the rest are in detention, the Intelligence Ministry said, adding that the group’s main objective was to create fear among the people.

The United States Central Intelligence Agency comprehensively supported the terrorist group by arming it, training its members, and sponsoring its inhumane activities in Iran, the Intelligence Ministry stated.

The terrorists had maps, films, pictures, and sketches of important and sensitive sites in various cities in their possession when they were arrested.

3. Bwahaha I think this is BS
But who knows?

I wonder what color scale they'll use to intimidate and terrify their own people at the airport? Maybe it'll be a scale of US facists "Salaam. The be afraid level is Cheney. Please be on the lookout for Americans and Jews. Check your rights at the door. Thank you."

11. Are you meaning that there are no bad guys, since all percieve ourselves as
"the good guys".

Dufus W. Shrubbery is still projecting to Fox news and the ditto press that he is a good guy.

Yeah like he'll ever get that back... Not!

8. Well if 1953 the CIA preceded the overthrow
of the popular prime minister of Iran by sending people in or getting people there to foment dissent and create unrest. They also had stories planted in the press.
If they could get civilians to rise up and create some chaos then there would be an excuse for the military coup arresting the prime minister (who was a good guy) and get the Shah of Iran (a despot) in charge. The british and US evidently had to really convince the reluctant shah.

Aren't we nice? Screw democracy that blocks us from oil, we wanted a dictator in there. http://www.iranchamber.com/history/coup53/coup53p2.php

I don't know if we did this but I wouldn't put it beyond us. Fomenting dissent is one of our moved when we want to cause a downfall...and you know that we do. On the other hand because we did it before they could be falsely accusing us.

The problem is I know we are messing around in there, maybe this is part of how.

9. The thing is, bushco ANNOUNCED they were doing this about 2 years ago.
Lots of "anonymous gov't officials" talking about the "special ops" teams that were working inside Iran.

Score one for Iran for busting a U.S. black op. I don't imagine they're the only group, however.

12. There is a difference between knowing someone is committing
crimes against the Constitution and seeing the evidence of an actual crime.
