Boy ol' Tim Russert really nailed Huckabee today!
Oh wait, I must have been thinking of something else. Like how it would have been had Russert really actually followed up on his ONE question to Huckabee about the alleged joke at the NRA convention the other day. I guess that is asking too much, you know, asking a journalist to actually probe and dig for a story. I guess I'm turning into a crusty old coot because I remember when journalists actually did dig and ask questions. Sigh. Maybe if and when we get a solid Democratic majority in the House, Senate, and WH we can start to see some old style reporting. Like whenever there is even a hint of wrongdoing by Obama, Clinton, or any Dem Senator or Rep. Ok ok, I'm sorry to sound so bitter. It's a nice day and I'm going out for my daily walk.

4. I'm not. Huckabee knows Russert is a GOP "embed" in the Beltway Village Media...
... along with his moll, Andrea Greenspan... er, Mitchell.

2. Yeah, it it was so refreshing to hear Russert tell of the Bush family's heinous Nazi ties
Oh wait, I guess I was thinking of someone else, maybe my buddy Carlos who ranted on that yesterday while downing a beer.

I guess Russert, GE, and the rest of the corporate media have more important things to do than to mention a salient fact or two.

7. Your buddy Carlos sounds like a smart guy
Ask him to have one for me and keep on ranting. Maybe someone will listen. Someone besides those of us who know about Russert, etc.

3. Russert's continued VP references got to be a bit much.
And Huck's efforts at being self-effacing in defending his utterly outrageous, dangerous, uncalled for, unfunny, and completely unnecessary remarks fell flat, too.

He could very well be the GOP VP nominee. I have heard it more than once on the shows this morning that McCain is outpolling GOP Congressional candidates. Huck, I think, has an appeal with those voters who are now not in Obama's camp, and never will be. The very thought of a McCain/Huckabee ticket scares the living SHIT out of me.

5. Huckabee said he thought "Bomb bomb Iran" was FUNNY!

6. Huckabee states "To be honest, I didn't even recall saying it"
Does anyone buy this...that he "doesn't remember"? Isn't it odd that a self proclaimed minister of the gospel would throw off an obvious lie so effortlessly?
