Ideals matter more than you and your feelings. Be an adult.
I don't care if you're a racist sexist antisemitic murderous ingrate. I don't care what kind of clothes you wear, what you said about me or your coworkers last week, how you get to work, where you work, why you work or anything else about you.

I care how you vote. I care about what you vote for. Because even though I may hate you and I may hate what you claim you stand for, my Ideals are more important than you or my feelings for you.

If I let what you feel or think convince me to act in a way that is incompatible with what I know to be right, then I can't blame you for that. I can only blame myself if I allow anything to effect how I act, or perhaps more importantly how I DONT act.

Furthermore as an adult I am forced to make ugly sloppy decisions every day. Sometimes I have to choose between two goods, or two evils. Rarely is the choice as simple as good vs evil. That's the world that adults live in. It is a sure sign of a fragile mind that can't see the forest for the tree. It would be far easier to ignore all of the contradicting information that one has to consider when one is trying to make a principled adult decision. This is the sort of moral and intellectual laziness that enabled Boosh in the first place.

Unfortunately I see people trying to ignore the forest for a tree more and more lately on DU. I see people looking for any excuse to not vote, or even to work against our nominee in the GE, simply because of how some other people who support that candidate act or appear to act. Or because of some statement that they would like to make. Or because of some fringe issue. Or because they want to support their particular "tribe".

Grow the fuck up people! The time to make statements like that was decades ago. I've come of age in a country and a planet that are likely going to be utterly destroyed by the time my (as yet unborn) children finish highschool. We don't have time to stop at the waterpark, or to look throught the entire grocery store for the special purple milk you like so much, and we sure as hell don't have time for your damn tempertantrum.

We're all going to die unless we get together, turn this goddamn country around, and do something about our environment. This country and the world CAN NOT WAIT for you to play your little game and make your little tempter tantrum statement.

Without a PLANET you won't have a hand to hold your gun, or change the channel, or pet your dog, or carress your mate, or what the hell ever.

I hate the politics of fear... but damn if I'm not scared shitless of 8 more years of Boosh. Aren't you people? Or are you too busy rolling around on the floor holding your breath?

Vote for the nominee.

1. and voting for a candidate who threatens to "obliterate" Iran is somehow a break from Boosh?
:eyes:

Sorry - no will do. I will vote for whoever I feel is the best choice. If Obama doesn't get the nomination then I will likely write in Edwards or Gore, but I will never pull the lever for HRC.

3. I believe Dems will show some spine when they had a solid majority for House & Senate
and I believe this November will be a landslide for Dems in Congress.

I do not think HRC is capable of being the change we need, I think she is too beholden to the DLC and big industry.

5. I'm not going to comment on HRC here
But in general terms it would be better to have a Dem in the WH, if nothing else then for the SCOTUS.
