The GOP and corporate cronies are trashing the place on the way out
The vandals are inside the gate. Gas and food prices at record levels. The credit meltdown. Jobs gone. More money grabs to fund the war. All that money vanishing (or flowing back to where it belongs in their minds) in the past year and I think it's only going to get worse until the Democrats take over in January.

They know the party is over and they are grabbing as much as they can on the way out.

As happy as I am to see them being swept out the door, one thought keeps plaguing me: Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

There's so much we need to fix. I just hope it's not too late to fix it.

1. The price of gasoline & natural gas rose sharply very soon after
the chimp was selected. Enron made sure of that. It's never come down, always higher.

2. And they know the next administration won't investigate. It's free money!
Republican or Democratic administration- it doesn't matter. These fuckers know they can take all they want and they will never be held accountable.

3. I beg to differ. If we get huge majorities we'll have a voice again.
Representative government can work if we make it work.

4. Do you have hope that the crimes of the past 7 years will be investigated?

I hope so, but I highly doubt it. I fear we will be told it it's time to move on and the criminals will all live happily ever after with their fat Swiss and Cayman bank accounts.

edit: I really do hope the people have representation again. I don't think we get (m)any more chances after 2008.

5. Well, Rove may be going down as early as next week
He'll squeal like the pig he is. I don't think he could take prison.

I think Bush will walk, and live the rest of his miserable life as a national laughing stock. The others should be very worried. Especially Cheney.

6. Rove squeal=me happy. We've been waiting so long for accountability.
This mess needs to be addressed within the system- the system we live by. There must be accountability for what this administration has done. I don't care if Bush goes down and I don't think he will. But there has to be accountability for what his Regime has done!

7. I don't think that's entirely true
Although some will get away with it, I think we'll see some in jail. Although I imagine Cheney would pull a Ken Lay rather than go to jail.
