Aww.... did I make you late for your cross-burning?
Edited on Tue May-13-08 09:37 AM by IanDB1

In case you can't read those, one is the 700 Club "Marriage = Man + Woman" sticker.

The other says, "Border Control, Not Birth Control." (Someone against The McCain-Kennedy Bill?)
There's another sticker there that used to have some kind of pseudo-patriotic jingoistic phrase on it alongside an American Flag on it, before it was destroyed by the elements

Sorry, bigoted fundie assholes, there is no law that I know of preventing me from driving at the speed limit in the left lane in Massachusetts.

In Pennsylvania, sure. But not here.

Besides, I wasn't in a hurry to change lanes. I like the left lane. And I liked driving directly alongside the SUV with the "No W" Sticker on it that was also driving at the 60 MPH speed limit. It was a very pleasant, relaxing 20 minutes of maximized fuel economy for me. How was it for you?

Also, just so you know the next time, driving over 75 MPH in the break-down lane is a felony.

And by the way, WWJGTFT? Who Would Jesus Give The Finger To?

Y.I.C,

This Guy:

Also, yesterday I saw my first Paultard in weeks on the road!

He had a Ron Paul sticker, along with one that expressed the sentiment that driving a Hummer means you have a small penis.

The Paultard also had a Star Wars bumpersticker, but not the same one I have.

"My other transport is The Millenium Falcon."

I gave him the Peace sign as I drove by.

29. Yeah, mathematically the best MPG is gotten at 45mph.
Something about a cube over a square root... or was it the other way around... I forget.

9. I totally agree - my only concern is maybe you didn't do enough
I mean that bigot is still walking around spreading a hate message isn't he or she? We need to come up with some way to "take care" of people like that.

11. No, we just need to be sure we speak out at least as loudly as they do.
Edited on Tue May-13-08 09:48 AM by IanDB1
Not only do we need to attempt to argue and reason with them to show them that we are correct, but we must also exert social pressure on them so they learn that their behavior is no longer accepted or tolerated. They need to be both educated and shamed.

We do not need to "take care" of people like that.

I'm pretty sure you were kidding about that.

But if there were an anti-gay protest and a tornado came down from the sky and swept them all away, I wouldn't shed any tears.

12. Well do you think your way of slowing down accomplished that goal?
Do you think your actions educated or shamed that guy? Or do you think he or she just thought "What an asshole" and drove on?

Bigots should not be allowed to feel comfortable running around openly displaying their bigotry.

I discomforted him.

Plus, I'm pretty sure he's going to need extra time in Purgatory for giving me the finger.

21. No offense, but I totally would have given you the finger
Admittedly I have Democrat stickers on my car but if some fucker did that to me just to mess with me? Yeah i'd give them the finger.

I'm sure he'd be saying to himself though "Immoral people like that should not be allowed to feel comfortable running around openly advocating for an immoral lifestyle."

16. For one thing, I've donated (too much) money to MassEquality.
1) Donate to progressive, pro-equality causes that don't endorse LIEberman for Senate.
http://www.massequality.org/action/donate/

2) Put at LEAST one bumper sticker on your car. They're seen by as many as 20,000 people a year (I think I read somewhere). Don't have to go as nuts as I did with it. But even Santorum thinks bumper stickers are important!

3) Speak out in favor of equality and social justice.

4) Don't let bigotry go unchallenged.

5) Conservatives fear ANGRY Liberals. They don't know how to handle it. Don't be afraid to get angry, but remain non-violent.

6) Call your congress-critters, write your editors, protest, demonstrate, blog on the internet, and blog on the freeway.

27. i'm constantly amazed how people don't see the UTTER HYPOCRICY in being an asshole to an asshole...
some people think that stooping to their level is some kind of victory...it's really sad to think that these people like to believe that we're on the same side.

10. Admittedly, the camera might not have been my brightest move of the week.
However, just in case he went postal on me, I wanted something on my corpse that could point the authorities in the right direction.

Also, I figured there was a chance I would catch a picture of him being Raptured.

...for not breaking the law?

Or are you suggesting that us speed-limit abiding individuals have no right to use the same lanes as everyone else?

24. Left lane is the passing lane. You can park your ass in it at 45 mph legally,
Edited on Tue May-13-08 11:28 AM by Occam Bandage
(or whatever the minimum speed is on that road) but it's rude.

28. And that's all I use it for
Unfortunately the vast majority of people make it near impossible to use as a passing lane because they stay in it and go much faster than the speed limit.

26. So what if some Freep Creep did this to you for having all your stickers on your car?
Run here to complain about what an asshole they were, or try to counter by running them off the road into a ditch?

Why waste your (I assume) valuable time to bother with such a person?

31. Saw a car today with a Jay Nixon (MO Democrat)
for governon sticker. That's all well and good but the other two stickers were a little odd next to the Nixon sticker. One read "Can't feed 'em, don't breed 'em." "I vote pro Life"
