To lapel, or not to lapel...
That is the GE/M$NBC question.

Whether 'tis more patriotic in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,

Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by not lapeling end them?

1. The only thing proper to wear on a lapel is a flower in an appropriate situation.

2. The old flag code forbade using the flag as jewelry; I know that's been
largely ignored for years, but it still pisses me off. Not as much as flag undies and oven mitts and lawn chairs and all that kind of shit, but I hate it.
