U.S. officials are being advised in internal government documents to avoid referring publicly to al Qaeda and other terrorist groups as Islamic or Muslim, and not to use terms like jihad or mujahedeen, which "unintentionally legitimize" terrorism.

"There's a growing consensus that we need to move away from that language," said a former senior administration official who was involved until recently in policy debates on the issue.

If this political correctness goes far enough, a news event such as what happened on 9/11 will require that the commentators say something such as this: "Some "nice, but misguided" men have mistakenly decided to terminate their own lives and, unfortunately, also the lives of other innocent people, as they improperly took control of the airplane, which ended up as a tragedy for all involved.

We already see this type of thing over in Europe with the gangs of 'youths' who were all actually Muslims who set portions of cities on fire and attacked people. Europe news refused to call them Muslims.

Sheesh Will this make the muslim terrorists all happy and loving toward us now? Call them exactly what they are!

All that'll do is enable Muslims to lay better claim to the 'religion of peace' title.
