17. that happened to my daughter when she was around three years old

it was a classic moment--we were crossing a street and didn't really have time to stop and mourn the loss.

i didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
on edit: laugh is used here as an expression as the word cry is. i think i was mildly amused and smiled a bit, but i felt bad that it happened. i smiled because i understood immediately that this was a classic moment of childhood.

from what i recall, we returned to the ice cream store and got another cone.

(and all this thought is telling me i should go out and get some chocolate peanut butter in a few minutes. think i will. )
