I think the exit polls indicate that Huckleberry will be McCain's VP
It's not getting a lot of publicity because the media has been concentrating on the democratic race, but a sizable amount of his party is voting against the presumptive nominee in the primaries. It seems to indicate that the religious right is still not satisfied. Let's take last night for example:

In North Carolina in the GOP primary, despite endorsing McCain 12% voted for Hucklebee. Another 8% voted for Ron Paul. Four-percent voted for no preference and another two-percent voted for Keyes.

In Indiana Hucklebee got 10% of the GOP vote.

In Pennsylvania he got 11%

In Mississippi Huck received 13%

I think in the end the McCain camp will come to the conclusion that their guy has no appeal to their bible thumping base and will force McGrump to go with Huckabee as a running mate. After all, Huck won states like Iowa, Kansas, West Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana and ran close second in Virginia and South Carolina, due in large part to evangelical Christians that is the GOP base.

Thoughts?

3. they're saying their piece now, but don't think for a second they won't vote mclamey
when it's "do or die" time. Dems aren't fully satisfied with their candidates either, but you work with what you've got. I voted for Biden. But that was a long time ago...

McCain is going to go for crossover votes from die-hard Hillaro's and can't-bring-themselves-to-vote-for-a-black-man "Dems", and those who buy into the ever-pandery mclame platforms and anti-Obama propaganda. If Huck looks like he'd be a liability to those voters, McCain (or his advisory team, read "handlers") won't put him on the ticket.

There's too much money at stake for the Right to take that kind of risk.

4. That'd be great!
What a ticket--an insane Grandpa Simpson and VP candidate whose family looks and acts like inbreds!

5. The political futures market does not share your enthusiasm

Betting on Huckabee could give you a 900% return on investment.

6. I call it for Mittens
who has the full weight of the Bushies behind him - and McVain owes them, big time, so he'll fall in line and follow orders.

7. I'm sure they can come to an agreement on the age of the Earth
50,000 years would be a good compromise.
