I admit..I have been drinking tonight.

15. Reading "The Little Island" might be a cure!

Okay, it's a little silly, but beautiful too. A kid's book by Margaret Wise Brown (of Goodnight Moon fame). Talks about the little island not being a little island at all, in a way, being connected under the water to all of the other land. There's a darkness that separates us, but underneath, we are all part of the same. In some small way, it seems comforting.

Sorry you are having a hard time. Hold on. Tomorrow will be another day, and if you're stubborn enough, you might last long enough in life to see the tides change.

It's tough being sober at a party when everyone else is drunk; weird being awake and watching all the sleepwalkers.

16. Not quite sure what your views are but, trust me, you are not

alone.

Hell, I live in the "Liberal" San Francisco Bay area and I feel isolated. I went to my Godchild's first communion yesterday. I saw shamens, dressed up in magical garments, making gang signs, praying to a dead guy on a stick. They were indoctrinating the youth into believing that some magical guy in the sky, with a big ego problem, who needed to be praised constantly by creatures he, not she, created, apparently because he was not sufficiently confident in his own ability to govern that he needs constant reinforcement from his subjects in the form of praise and supplication. At this ceremony, they sanctioned ritual cannabilisim in eating "the body of Christ" and cerimonial "Drinking of his blood".

Personally, I find this to be some pretty sick shit but whenever I express my thoughts, I am looked upon as a heretic, even here.

Don't feel alone. It is really difficult to see the big picture, which is obvious to anyone who can actually think, when all the forces of society tell you that you are wrong.

Sometimes, I just wish I was stupid so I would not have to deal with this shit. Life would be so much easier if I just cared about who won Dancing with the Stars or what color Brittany's underware was.

Anyway, I don't know where you live or what you are faced with on a daily level but any of my rant strikes you as being relevent, PM me and I will try to make you feel sane in an insane world.

I feel the exact same way. I live in a heavily Republican area, and I'm pretty far left of the Democrats, myself. Yeah, no on "gets it" here, either.

But we're not alone! We can reach out to others across cyberspace. Thank God for that. We have DU! Always remember that. And perhaps you can move? I'm considering it. Strongly.
