DU vote fraud hero Andy Stepheson is on HBO!!! "Hacking Democracy" documentary

I've been thinking a lot about Andy recently during this primary season. HBO is showing the documenty "Hacking Democracy" about problems with electronic voting machines post-2004 election. One piece of the doc is Bev Harris & BBV's efforts (talking to Dept of Elections people, finding poll tapes in the trash and so forth), and there's ANDY STEPNENSON helping her out.

Other pieces of the documentary showed Calif Sect'y of State cancelling Diebold; Howard Dean being shown how easy it was to change vote totals on the GEMS machine, David Cobb's calling for an Ohio recount, Kerry knowing the vote counts were wrong, and more.

This is a great documentary. I'd never heard of it before. It will re-play on HBO today and next week. Check it out if you haven't seen it.


For those who weren't here during the aftermath of the 2004 election, Andy Stepheson is a DU hero who worked with Bev Harris of Black Box Voting proving voter fraud. He died during the summer of 2005. His death is mentioned at the end of the documentary and there is a short clip of him speaking about his work being his legacy.

I'm NOT editing the reference out of my post... I was here, I know what many here think of her... AND of our high regard for Andy, which you may not know about since you weren't here then. Regardless of what you think of her, she played an important role in shining light on the vulnerablities on electronic voting machines which is what the documentary is about. This is a terrific documentary and everyone who is concerned about the accuracy of our elections should see it. They'll learn something.

It speaks worlds about you that you chose to dump on a post about about evs fraud that only briefly mentions someone you have bad feelings about, while not commenting on issues of importance that the post ascribes to the documentary.

Just terrible. There was a group here that was going to use legal means to bring his detractors to justice. What happened with that effort?

7. I saw it today. I was pleased to see Andy.

Good evaluation and some startling stuff. Kerry’s pullout, that has me wondering. Kudos to HBO, but also, from what I can tell, the next and only play date is Sunday morning when all the faithful will be away at church, and not watching their illusions crumble.

I fought for Andy's surgery, and was heartbroken when he died.
