Poll question: How will you be spending your 'economic stimulus' check?
If I understand correctly, the rationale behind giving us these $600 checks is that having more money in our pockets to spend will help give the economy a little boost. But I believe that will only work if we spend it, as our economy is driven my the production and purchase of products and services. If a vast number of us sink the money into savings or use the money to pay off debt (previously purchased products and services), then the result on improving our economy is nil.

My prediction, however, is that so many people are under heavy burdens of debt, and those people will use the money they receive to get a temporary relief from that debt.

So I'm curious. How will you be spending your economic stimulus check?

(Please help keep this kicked for more poll responses. Thanks!)

1. I haven't gotten it yet, but I'm giving half of it to my presidential candiate

If you don't mind me asking, why not? Sorry, I'm not familiar with all the rules, so I'm not sure how it is determined who receives what...

6. I get $19 even though I'm a single mom, putting my daughter through
As a single person the limits are half of that for a married person. My daughter doesn't get one because she is a dependent on my return, and I don't get credit for her because she is over 18.

I'm getting more than $600...and fortunately have all the bills currently paid for. Instead, I plan to use my bribe and will divy it up to various Progressive congressional campaigns for the fall campaign.
