Happy belated Birthday to Cat in the Hat
Feb. 26th marked the 50th anniversary of The Cat in the Hat. http://www.usatoday.com/life/books/news/2007-02-26-cat-in-the-hat_x.htm

Good way to celebrate is one of the finest readings of a Dr. Seuss writing ever, Green Eggs and Ham as red by Jessie Jackson.

Of "And to Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street" fame. Some dumbass bulldozed Geissell's house in the 70's or 80's. But they city has since put up a beautiful park in his honor, with "life size" bronze sculptures of Horton, TCITH, and other characters. The guys was a also a brilliant painter, and you can check out his work at the R. Michaelson Gallery in Northampton.

Thanks for the heads-up! Happy Birthday to The Cat.
