Tony Snow Taken To Hospital

Breaking: KXLY in Spokane, Washington is reporting new CNN commentator Tony Snow was taken to the hospital this morning.

Snow canceled a series of speeches today at Eastern Washington University because of illness. He was treated for exhaustion at the hospital, says a source at the University.

There is no word yet on his health status or whether he will appear on the air tonight with CNN for Pennsylvania primary coverage.

> Update: A CNN spokesperson tells TVNewser, "He will not be on tonight; we look forward to having him on in the next few days."

21. Why? So he can continue his life's work of aiding and abetting war criminals?
Some people really are better off dead (better off for those of us who do not wish to pay for the bullets killing innocent people).

23. As a liberal I will never wish any one harm.
I think he is a bad person. If I hoped he would die I would be no better than him.

24. Why politicize mere humanity, compassion and sympathy?...
...Doesn't that lower oneself merely in the act?

Don't become that which you rebuke.

6. This is not good news. The poor guy probably has terminal cancer.
It is too bad. I feel for him, even tho I hate his politics. He has fought his illness and tried very hard.

No one can be jubilant about this turn of events. Karma will come to us if we don't feel bad for this guy. I know I do. How sad...

7. There are a number of DUers celebrating it
Apparently those of us showing a modicum of compassion are only doing it so we can feel all superior and lecture everyone else.

11. He Has His Priorities Straight
It's much more important for him to SPIN SPIN SPIN than spend time with his family.

Like others here, I hope he stays healthy and has many more years of SPINNING & LYING to the American public. I'm sure he loses sleep every night over each and every soldier who has died because of his LIES. He truly is a caring human being, and I hope he lives a long & healthy life.

:sarcasm:

19. I understand what you are saying, but I just can't feel good about this at all.
We must feel bad for him. We must forgive, because he is a suffering human being. His family must be suffering greatly also.

Forgive, forgive, forgive...do not hold on to anger...

As for Snow, I might extend some compassion to him...if he weren't one of the enemy.

16. I don't wish him ill but I can't wish him well either
My sympathies are pretty much used up on the soldiers and marines he said were "just numbers".

22. We can forgive our enemies without condoning what they did.
I do not condone what Tony Snow said and did on behalf of the evil Bush Administration. Not at all!

Forgiveness is something else. We can say we forgive, because that helps us deal with the pain and clarify it more humanely. But we must also never condone what evil has been done. We must separate the two.

I think that is where you have a disconnect or failure to understand the whole dynamic of forgiveness. It does NOT mean that you think they did not do wrong or commit crimes and offenses. It is something that transcends that guilt into something quite unique. I have experienced it and I recommend it to anyone willing to try...

18. Tony Snow would be a lot more worthy of my sympathy
if he would just shut his piehole, go home, and spend whatever time he has left with his family. I envision him on his deathbed, his family restraining him, as he tries to get up, saying, 'just one more lie!...just one more lie!'

20. We do not know what anybody's last words will be. We should be
humbled by the thought of death at anyone's bedside.

Karma, everyone, karma...
