.... Mr. "Drown Government in a Bathtub". I'm afraid I'll break something if I tune it. Fellow Hartmann listeners, report to me on what he says, please. :)

1. I'm Afraid Thom will Let Grover Walk all over Him
He is horrible at interviews with neo-cons and extreme right wingers. He's got to take the kid's gloves off.

2. It's not happening today.
Hartmann's asking tough questions. Grover's dodging.

3. I love Thom but I agree, he tries to be too "gentlemanly" with the righties....
..... in order to keep them coming back on the show. You almost need a Sam or Randi for these types of interviews (but then again, the rightwingnuts would never go on shows with them).

4. I'd love to hear Randi with Grover
He'd never face her, though. She'd be really tough on him. Thom is too much of a gentleman.

:hi:

8. Hartmann's problem is he tries to be the thoughtful, genteel liberal
when discussing things with these right wing cavemen. Then you just come off looking weak and effete; the proper tactic to take with cavemen is to bludgeon them with a club, not display astounding feats of logic and wit.

12. Why do we have to have these thugs on our "liberal" radio?
Don't we hear them enough? Is this why Air America is still on the air? Give them all 90% of the media time and 10% if we are lucky. I can't listen to Hartmann any longer. I have most his books too and love them. I hate his guests.

15. Beats me. If Hartmann wants debate, bring on Carville, New Republic
'journalists', etc. etc.. There are plenty of center-left people to debate over issues and possible solutions.

I really don't see how debating 2+2 does not equal 5 accomplishes anything, other than to further reaffirm their faith that 2+2 does indeed equal 5, because they are debating it on liberal radio.

Opinions do not differ over whether the earth is indeed flat.

16. Did you know Grover Norquist is barely 5 feet tall?
I think we have discovered the stick in his craw that makes him hate the world, and makes him want to shring government down to--well, HIS size!

18. That's small enough to drown in a bathtub.
A little smaller and he'd be eligible for a full-body swirlie.
