Cheney on 4k death toll: "it's a tragedy that we live in a kind of world where that happens"

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/mar/24/iraq?gusrc=rss&feed=networkfront

<snip>

"You regret every casualty, every loss," US vice president Dick Cheney told reporters during a visit to Jerusalem after the 4,000 death toll was passed.

"It may have a psychological effect on the public, but it's a tragedy that we live in a kind of world where that happens."

And who made this happen?

2. Pretty passive there, Dick
Where's that hands-on, in-control killer we all know and love so much?

5. Fucking World...
Edited on Mon Mar-24-08 09:36 AM by Jeff In Milwaukee
It's the world's fault. And as you all know, God created the world.

So God, who wasn't even elected, got 4,000 soldier's killed.

Just like Bush.

10. So many passes in life; so little time.
Just a few of Cheney's major passes in his cocooned career:
Accountability for DUIs
Accountability for his Viet Nam draft deferments (5)
Accountability for the tragedy of 9/11.
Accountability for the destruction Iraq.
Accountability for the shredding of the US Constitution.
Accountability for the destruction of the US economy.

The list grows on with the death of the 4000th US soldier in the Bu$h/Cheney war. And Cheney responds with a quip that is so predictable, so banal, and so pitifully ironic, that it makes a sane person's head explode.
