Can you imagine a live debate between Obama and McCain?
All this backlash crap is bullshit. When this thing gets going and they have to debate each other - oh baby - it's going to be a thing of beauty (McCain drooling won't be pretty), but it will be something to see and people will really see why he is so much like JFK. McCain will probably be sweating as bad as Nixon did.

6. Or, more accurately ...
The media tells the American people that they're supposed to love a dumb drunk. And they fall for it.

19. I doubt it will be as extreme a mismatch as Kerry/Bush - though I do think Obama will win
Edited on Sat Mar-22-08 10:46 PM by karynnj
McCain is far more competent than Bush was and Obama, for all his eloquence, is not as proficient at debates as Kerry is - Obama is not as agile a debater as Kerry and he doesn't have Kerry's depth of knowledge on a wide range of issues. (For instance - Obama did not point out that the entire SFRC held hearings on Afghanistan - and that has been the norm. They were not held in the Europe committee under earlier heads either - this would have scored him a point and made HRC look silly - not the other way around.)

There are many Sunday talk shows where McCain has easily defeated the Democrat paired with him. The errors McCain made this week are unbelievable - but I wouldn't count on them to be the norm in the debates. In the primary debates, McCain was anywhere near the incompetent Bush.

17. Obama is going to mop the floor with McCain
McCain's best chance will be if he can somehow hide a chip in his ear while Lieberman feeds him the answers.

11. Obama needs to not under estimate McCain
While he may look like and old foggy to many, remember a lot of old fogies vote. Besides he was the first choice for the VP slot by Kerry. This country has enough fools in it to re-elect BUSH.

20. I CAN imagine it, and it looks great to me!
I think Obama would wipe the floor with McCain...

I also think that Obama is smart enough to make McCain very angry...

And when he loses it......then the whole world would see how dangerous a President he would be!

I cannot wait.
