Tucker: Cheney 'kind of a hero' for ignoring Americans' opinions

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough played a clip of this exchange on Morning Joe. "Look at his face," Scarborough pointed out. "Look how shaken up he is."

"The question," Scarborough continued incredulously, "was what do you do when two-thirds of American think this war is not worth fighting. Dick Cheney's response: 'So?' There's a guy that sticks his finger in the wind!"

Tucker Carlson leaped in to defend Cheney. "He's kind of a hero in that way," Carlson suggested. "I know I'll probably have my car egged for saying this, but ... it's so nice to see someone that old-school. 'Hey, you kids, get off my lawn.' That's Dick Cheney. I love that."

"He's not a baby boomer," agreed Scarborough.

17. Thanks for the laugh.
If some enterpreneur bought Cheney's grave they could make a fortune charging people admission, I'd buy a ticket in advance.

Then again, the cost of removing all that waste would be staggering.

6. Any baby boomers up for joining me in egging Tucker's car?
Hell, it's been years, but I'm ready to go. Egging Tucker Carlson's car sounds like a good idea for all generations.

Yes we can.

18. So, the utter failure of leadership during a time of War is a heroic mark
I mean damn...isn't it the mark of a leader to lead his people to an unpopular and tough decision, to see the wisdom of that decision and unify his people around that decision -- where's the leadership other than the innate ambiguous vagaries wrapped in platitude that they offer to justify the loss of blood and treasure.

It is not the lack of poll chasing...it is the lack of LEADERSHIP!!

19. A Brilliant Real American Hero
Cheney is brilliant. Twice in his lifetime Wars of Occupation have occurred. During Vietnam he masterfully sought and received 5 deferments. But, simletaneously he worked the pro-war circuit. This allowed him to cloak himself in the veneer of the Warrior while never threatening his existence.

He then worked his whole life in government, a leech, parlayed his control and contacts into collusion with a member of the Corporate Military Industrial Complex and when now enjoy a level of health care which no other American can receive.

Now, a new generation of young men are dying in an Occupation and one of the architects can tell the american people to "go fuck themselves" and be lauded as a hero.
