Cheney Targeted...?
I heard about this while I was working...they said it was a assassination attempt on Cheney...but then a few hours later on AAR it was reported that a "military spokesman" said it was not and the idea that it was a assassination attempt was far-fetched...

anyone else hear this today...? Any links...?

1. Sounded like they missed by a mile literally
Pretty bad aim, I'd say.
Get the feeling that Cheney is looking for that badge of honor to show he's a real man?

2. Why would he be a target? He's Al Qaida's best friend ever!
Osama's numero uno recruiter.

3. "Red alert after Taleban bomber targets Cheney"
"American Secret Service agents were forced to bundle Dick Cheney into a bomb shelter today when a Taleban suicide bomber attacked the main US military base in Afghanistan during a visit by the US Vice-President.

Fourteen people were killed in the attack, but Mr Cheney - who was in his room about a mile away and said later that he had heard a "loud boom" - was not hurt."

*************

"The Taleban immediately claimed responsibility for the attack. “We wanted to target ...Cheney,” Mullah Hayat Khan, a spokesman for the rebel group, told Reuters by phone from an undisclosed location."

5. Yes, very curious - "The Taleban IMMEDIATELY claimed responsibility.."
So the "Taleban" IMMEDIATELY picked up the phone and called Reuters? Was there any verification of this before broadcasting it all over the TODAY SHOW this morning? More fear mongering - probably more black ops. Who the hell knows with these people - nothing is beyond them. NOTHING.

7. Here it is...
"I think it's a far-fetched allegation," he said, referring to the Taliban claim. "The vice president wasn't even supposed to be here overnight, so this would have been a surprise to everybody."

but even the title of this article is saying that it's a failed assassination attempt...when all the facts point to it not being true at all...

9. Twenty-three people die and it's about him?
Edited on Tue Feb-27-07 07:41 PM by TahitiNut
He shoots a cohort and it's about how Cheney was bothered?? How obscenely pathological can these people get to completely dismiss the lost lives of TWENTY-THREE people in a bombing that takes place a MILE AWAY from Crashcart Sneer??

:grr:

13. He feeds on death and suffering. He profits from it.
It's political and economic necrophilia. He is truly, deeply evil ... an embarassment to humanity itself.

11. CHENEY
I think it is a cover or a front

Something like "Look, even the Taliban/Al-Kida target the VP, so they must be bad people"
So that will scare the people even more, so they can block the Dems fight to get the troops
out of Iraq.
