Just had to get this out, re. Al Gore: It didn't take long for the Vast Right-Wing smear machine...
to gear up, with the nefarious goal of stealing something good from America: Al Gore's Oscar moment in the sun, and his reward for thirty years of work on environmental awareness. Funded by wingnut loonies, with money no object, and conscience no hindrance, they cook up a story in Tennessee about Al's electric bill -- and the Right-Wing echo chamber screams to a deafening roar.

Here they go again, as Ronald Reagan said, polluting our politics like toxic waste, and joining the Swiftboaters in infamy.

3. Instead of focusing on the kilowatts Gore uses, how about comparing the
carbon emmissions between Gore's house and the reich wingers' homes. Gore's is less, since he uses renewable resources, and not coal or oil.

4. Comparing the rich to the medium is absurd
Comparing Gore's electric output to people in his own wealth gap would be a truer.

I did a google search for news stories and only found the Thinkprogress debunking as pro-gore. All of the rest ran with that filthy AEI funded BS as gospel. Disgusting. :(

7. I hope he doesn't run. I hope he picks up his Nobel, gives these people the finger...
and reaps the rewards of a well-lived life. He doesn't need this -- and this country doesn't deserve him.

Sorry -- I'm in quite a black mood over this.

11. they can't see the forest for the trees
gore's efforts are more about systemic change. his utility bills aren't exactly relevant to the issue.
