Will the "stimulus" checks be mailed or direct deposited
for the ones who file their income tax electronically?

A friend of mine is concerned as they recently closed their account that they used in their electronic filing.

5. As far as I know its sent to the account used on their tax form
If they already did their taxes and have changed banks after they recieved a tax refund they'll need to contact the IRS to update their records.

6. If you got your refund through direct deposit
you'll get it that way.

If you filed through snail mail you'll get it by late July.

600 bucks is BS on a 20,000 per individual debt.

Bribery is it's worst.

10. answer here:
Q. If I use direct deposit for my tax return refund and my bank account information later changes, what will happen when my stimulus payment goes out?

A. Typically, the direct deposit will be rejected. After the IRS receives a rejection notice, the payment will be converted to a paper check and mailed to you.

11. On page 2 of Form 1040A
There is a line for Refund. It asks if you would like your refund to be Direct Deposit. If you do, you must supply the Route number, whether it's a checking or savings account and the account number.

I mailed my Federal Tax Return in, but the refund will be direct deposit to my checking account.
