Faber on MSNBC just said Bear Stearns had been leveraged 44 to 1....
... so other Wall Street firms are likely in that range as well. That would mean inadequate cash reserves to back up business transactions, and if push comes to shove the FED could not possibly cover them all like they did Bear Stearns here.
