Fibo 38.2 retrace off the 2002 low. Elliot fans prepare for 3 up.
Edit: PM asked for SP target 1250-1180 then new highs (1225 is strong buy for me)

7. the bush economy is as unstable as little boots himself.
it will be 8 years of stagnation when (if) bushco exits.
all of the profits from the last 8 years diverted to their friends and family plan.
well be digging out of this hole for a while.

24. So it was concience that you posted a video from 7th Feb (a little before that post)
as 'news' today? You're saying your excitement over a process written about in April 2005 and your prediction of a huge jump in the whole market aren't connected?

25. And your point is...? Do you find it impossible to have more than one area of interest I care to
post about...geezus. Ok. so it's older news. I just discovered it yesterday posted on the front page of a site that offers lot of interesting info about tech/enviro http://www.livescience.com/php/video/player.php?video_id=080207-hydrogenfuel.

Thought those of us here that are optimist might be glad to know about it.

Do you need a hug?

26. BTW it was posted in GD not "news" as you said...and YES ultimately they are somewhat connected...
My forecast of the markets is not based on this but rather on Technical Analysis. However, these type of discoveries are the very type of innovations that will create a better tomorrow ....markets included.

12. A few remarks from other experts
"There may be a recession in stock prices, but not anything in the nature of a crash."
- Irving Fisher, leading U.S. economist , New York Times, Sept. 5, 1929

"Stock prices have reached what looks like a permanently high plateau. I do not feel there will be soon if ever a 50 or 60 point break from present levels, such as (bears) have predicted. I expect to see the stock market a good deal higher within a few months."
- Irving Fisher, Ph.D. in economics, Oct. 17, 1929

"There will be no repetition of the break of yesterday... I have no fear of another comparable decline."
- Arthur W. Loasby (President of the Equitable Trust Company), quoted in NYT, Friday, October 25, 1929

"We feel that fundamentally Wall Street is sound, and that for people who can afford to pay for them outright, good stocks are cheap at these prices."
- Goodbody and Company market-letter quoted in The New York Times, Friday, October 25, 1929

"This is the time to buy stocks. This is the time to recall the words of the late J. P. Morgan... that any man who is bearish on America will go broke. Within a few days there is likely to be a bear panic rather than a bull panic. Many of the low prices as a result of this hysterical selling are not likely to be reached again in many years."
- R. W. McNeel, market analyst, as quoted in the New York Herald Tribune, October 30, 1929

I could go on and on.

15. And very little, then as now
...made reference to the ill effects on the economy and standard of living of the average American. As usual, it's as if we don't exist.

"The financial markets will be fine in the long run!"

Rah.

18. I'd have to say that you're wrong
This is a bubble market, and the value of many, many stocks is overvalued. The underlying economic essentials simply aren't there. Sure, they might prop it up for a little while, but it's still going to come crashing down at some point or another, in the relatively near future.

So, is this like the Crusading Coincidence Theorist ideal applied to other matters than those found in the dungeon? :boring:

27. Bullish in a bear market.
I've been there before, but learned the hard way that bubbles must pop. We've got a long way down to go. Haven't even seen the edge of the cliff yet, but I sense we're getting closer to it.
