Edited on Fri Mar-14-08 06:18 PM by devilgrrl
A official list of all W and Darth Cheney did for the good ole U. S. of A.

My entry is allowing the worth of the dollar to fall it's lowest in the history of the country.

Please do add your favorite Bush/Cheney accomplishments.

9. you would need volumes of books to cover the crimes
I wouldn't know where to begin , you would have to start with his boyhood days to get a clear picture of just bush and Cheney , this guy has been around since 4000 BC .

13. Total national debt was $5.7 trillion when Bush took office; projected to exceed $10 trillion by
the time he leaves office in January 2009.

It's the gift that keeps on giving long after the criminals are out of office.

12. Where to start
Edited on Fri Mar-14-08 06:42 PM by Juche
Dropping the ball (whatever that means) on 9/11, then covering up their incompetence and trying to stop an investigation, then running as the anti-terror team.

Trying to stop people like Spitzer from stopping the subprime crisis before it blew up

Ignoring the trade deficit until the dollar was undervalued and oil was out of control, then getting suprised at $4 oil.

Katrina

Being mindlessly optimistic and/or out of touch with reality

Election fraud 2x, destroying the faith tens of millions of us have that our elections are fair and that our votes count.

Using prejudice against gays and mexicans (under the guise of defense of marriage and stopping immigration) as a way to get votes and divide the electorate.

Politicizing the justice department and filling it with authoritarian followers

Dismantling the constitution to such a degree that the ABA calls for something to be done

Making America a reviled pariah nation that legitimizes torture

Screwing things up so bad and stripping all layers of complacency that we are forced to face how evil, slimy and corrupt the republicans are and how scheming, spineless and calculating the dems are (this isn't necessarily bad, we needed to find out).

Taking advantage of the nations fears, vulnerability and anger over 9/11 to trick us into a war in Iraq

Supressing science and any NIE reports that do not support their agenda

Spending trillions on tax cuts for the rich and unnecessary wars while ignoring the fact that many domestic needs (education, healthcare, food, real estate) have doubled in price in the last 8 years.

Blowing a 10 trillion surplus and nearly doubling the national debt in 8 years.

Destroying the ability to trust the president, to trust in checks and balanes and to trust the media to do their job (again not all bad as we needed to realize these things)

Trying to trick the nation into war with Iran when according to the NIE Bush probably knew Iran didn't have a nuclear program

Talking tough about ending WMD transfers, then Ashcroft covering up the Sibel Edmonds story and outing a spy like Plame whose job it was to stop WMD transfers. Using WMD as an excuse to bomb Iraq and Iran while covering up real WMD transfers involving Plame & Edmonds

Allowing the 9/11 truth movement to fester because nobody will allow a real investigation (a real investigation that addresses everything is all people ask), causing roughly 1/3 of the nation to lose faith in democracy, the media and accountability.

15. Since making a list
of team Bu$h/Cheney colossal fuck ups would be a lengthy process, may I suggest in the interest of brevity we just say EVERYTHING they have done in the last seven years was a colossal fuck up and let it go at that.
