4. When the Fed "bailed out Wall Street" a few days ago, all I could think of
was "good money after bad". You can only create the illusion of so much credit before it's recognized as an illusion.

6. I work with a *-ie who thinks
that the economy is fine because the stock market "hasn't crashed." I wonder how far it needs to go for him to consider it a crash? And when I pointed out all the other economic indicators that are tanking, he said that those "don't matter." He seems to be of the mindset that if things are going well for him, other people are probably fine, too.
