as "The Pensioner" and said that if he were in the UK he would have a bus pass and his meals delivered to his home!!!

Gotta love the Brits...

1. That's funny! I also hear Tim Russert on MSNBC tell Nora
O'Donnel that McCain will soon be known as Bush McCain. They were talking about some new poll that found more than 70% of Americans don't wan't another Bush term, 80% think the Country is headed in the wrong direction, and almost 70% want a NEW President who will do things completely different. I found that quite interesting coming from Timmy. I don't think I've ever heard him say anything against "The Pensioner".

2. It's true
It seems in most western countries now all of the politicians are much younger. In Canada's parliament I don't think we have more than 5 members over 65 and none of the main players - the front benchers, cabinet ministers etc.,

4. It's strange isn't it
that McCain is less than a decade older than Shrub, yet Shrub comes across as being like a boy and McCain as a grumpy old grandpa.

6. Leave Pappy alone! So he is a bit weather worn, hasn't had an original thought since 1980 and spent
a week in the London mist recently outside Lambeth Palace awaiting the arrival of both Churchill and Lord Beaverbrook to discuss l'Affaire Simpson with Cosmo Lang . . . and views "foreign policy" something best left to the specialists like the Dulles Brothers, his screen test for the Metamucil commercial proved very popular with the focus groups.

8. I'm Old, Too
I'm old.

I'm an old woman.

Does that mean, then, that I should be "a pensioner"?

Does it mean that I should not drive a car, and just get a "bus pass"?

Does it mean that I am incapable of preparing my own meals, and should, instead, have my meals delivered to me where I live?

It may seem funny to make us old people out to be nothing more than infeebled helpless people.

But we are not.

10. I'm Also Fat
I, too, am overweight.

And I hate it when people make jokes about people who are overweight.

I guess it is their way of feeling good about themselves.

It's no fun being a fat, old woman who speaks English with an accent, and who was not born in the USA.

I know.
