4. just the shear length of time
that project had been underway shoulda been fair warning to everyone ;)

i was part of the SP2 testers and 'longhorn' was being 'tested' back then, im pretty sure.

6. I haven't read it myself but my neighbor said that he heard that micro$haft was going to
extend support for xp to a later date. If one is someone who likes to play around with the operating system like I do then xp is a playground so I will be sad to see it go, in fact I'll probably be hanging on to it for quite some time even though I am trying to ween myself off the gates tit.

8. i'm running vista on 4 machines..
have been for over 8 months and haven't had any issues to date. in kinda breezing over those emails, it seems the biggest problem is with the Intel 9x5 chipset. maybe they'll finally shitcan that POS and install a real adapter with its own damn RAM.
